Norma Rodgers-Frink, BSN, RN, CCRA, ACRP-PM, RP
A lifelong commitment to advancing nursing, empowering communities, and shaping healthcare policy
Norma Rodgers-Frink, BSN, RN, CCRA, ACRP-PM, RP, is a distinguished nursing leader, clinical operations manager, and advocate for the nursing profession. She began her professional journey over 40 years ago as a Licensed Practical Nurse and in 1999 earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a minor in Business Management from Bloomfield College. In 2001 she transitioned into the pharmaceutical industry and currently serves as Manager of Clinical Operations at Syneos Health, where she oversees a team of Clinical Trial Managers.
Deeply committed to service and leadership, Mrs. Rodgers-Frink joined the Raritan Valley Section of the National Council of Negro Women in 2014 and became a lifetime member in 2021.
Community Service
As a lifetime member of NCNW, Norma is excited about the work of the RVS and the sisterhood within the Section. She is also the current President of Tau Chi Chapter, Inc. of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Incorporated® and Presidential Advisor for the New Jersey Nursing Students. She is also a 2024 Fellow of the McKinsey Leadership Academy, a 2014 Nurse in Washington Internship Fellow, and a 2004 Fellow of the Rutgers University Minority Nurse Leadership Institute. For more than 23 years she has held dual research certifications (CCRA and ACRP-PM) from the Association of Clinical Research Professionals, and in 2021 she became a Registered Parliamentarian (RP) with the National Association of Parliamentarians.
Professional and Civic Highlights
In 1998, Mrs. Rodgers-Frink made history as the first African American President of the New Jersey Nursing Students, Inc. and has remained deeply engaged in the New Jersey State Nurses Association/Institute for Nursing for over 25 years. In January 2015, she was sworn in as the 45th President of NJSNA, becoming only the second African American to hold the position. During her presidency, she advanced initiatives addressing gun violence as a public health crisis and promoting cultural diversity in nursing. She continues to mentor nursing students and new graduates while actively engaging in professional and civic organizations, legislative affairs, and community initiatives that strengthen nursing practice and healthcare delivery.
